Everything happens for a reason. Nothing happens by chance. The only thing that happened without a reason is that somehow the universe is designed so that it operates with a cause. Thus to find a cause for an event, we just have to go back in time (or look back in our memory) and look for a previous event that has caused the current event to happen.
The movie “Tenet” has a similar concept. It just folds the timeline of each individual character, making it go forward, backward, and forward again. And while illustrating the story of an individual from this folded timeline, it justifies the physical details along the way (although it fails to grasp every detail)
We can always find a cause for an event. But the only thing that we may fail to find cause of, is the fact that this universe always has a cause. Just like the phrase from Tenet, “What happened has happened”
