Projection
Everything is a projection. Our perception including vision, audition, somatosensation (touch), gustation (taste) and olfaction (smell), are all projections of the world into our neural system. Our written or spoken words are also projections of our thoughts in language. They may not be linear, but are still nonlinear projections.
